Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

The workshop “Parents for Parents” has been held in Jablanica
U mjesnoj zajednici Glogošnica kod Jablanice održana je radionica "Roditelje za roditelje" na kojoj su treneri bili članovi neformalne grupe roditelja. 10 roditelja prisustvovalo je na ovoj radionici gdje su uz trenere i lokalne koordinatore stekli nova znanja kada je u pitanju unaprijeđenje komunikacije i razumijevanja između roditelja, mladih i ključnih aktera zajednice. Također su unaprijedili i svoje vještine koje se tiču pravilne komunikacije, a koje su neophodne za ispravan odgoj djece i izbjegavanje konflikata sa mladima.
Ova aktivnost je dio projekta "Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u Bosni i Hercegovini", kojeg sprovodi IOM, a podržava USAID, Vlada Velike Britanije i Ambasada Republike Italije u BiH.

In the local community Glogosnica near Jablanica workshop “Parents for Parents” has been held during which the trainers were members of the informal group of parents. Ten parents participated in this activity where they gained new skills with the help of trainers and local coordinators. These skills include improving communication and understanding between the parents, youth and key persons in the community. Also, they improved their skills in terms of adequate communication which is crucial for correct education of the children and avoiding conflict with the youth.
This activity was organized within the project "Community Based Approach to Support Youth in Targeted Municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina" implemented by IOM and supported by the USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo and the Embassy of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
