The third module within the "Strengthening parental skills" workshop organized in Zenica

Conflicts and nonviolent problem solving, specifics of the development in the adolescent period and atypical/maladjusted behavior, inclination towards radicalization and violent extremism - were the topics of the third and final module within the "Strengthening parental skills" workshop, organized by the informal group of parents from Zenica.

The goal of this workshop was for parents to better understand what are the changes happening with young people that are considered as "normal" development challenges, and what are the signals that show that adolescents have a tendency to maladjusted behavior. Apropos, it's very important for a parents to strengthen the skills of recognizing first signs, and to motivate them to observe the changes in their children's behavior, as well as the changes in youth surrounding them, and to explore what can be done in the community to prevent radicalism and violent extremism among adolescents.

This activity is organized within the project "Community Based Approach to Support Youth in Targeted Municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina", implemented by IOM and supported by USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo and Embassy of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
