Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

The round table realised within the project "Parents for Parents" in Bugojno
Okrugli stol kao jedna od planiranih aktivnosti u sklopu projekta „Roditelji za roditelje“, koji realizira neformalna grupa roditelja iz Bugojna, održan je u prostorijama Omladinskog centra u Bugojnu. Na ovom okruglom stolu, koji je održan uz prisustvo ključnih aktera iz lokalne zajednice, grupa roditelje je predstavila svoj projekat lokalnoj zajednici, a sve u cilju uspostavljanja eventualne buduće saradnje u smislu prikupljanja potrebnih informacija, pružanja stručne pomoći i saradnje druge vrste, te formalizacije neformalne grupe roditelja.
Projekat “Roditelji za roditelje” ima za cilj da unaprijedi komunikaciju i razumijevanje između roditelja, mladih i ključnih aktera lokalne zajednice. Kroz projektom planirane aktivnosti, ova neformalna grupa želi doprinijeti smanjenju broja nasilnih ponašanja i konflikata između generacije roditelja i mladih osoba.
Ova aktivnost je dio projekta "Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u Bosni i Hercegovini", koju provodi IOM, a finansijski podržavaju USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo i Ambasada Republike Italije u Bosni i Hercegovini.

The round table as one of the planned activities within the project "Parents for Parents" realized by the Informal Parent Group from Bugojno was held in the premises of the Youth Center in Bugojno. At this round table held in the presence of key stakeholders from the local community, a group of parents presented their project to the local community with the aim of establishing possible future cooperation in terms of gathering the necessary information, providing expert assistance and other types of cooperation with them, and formalizing the informal group of parents.
The “Parents for Parents” project aims to improve communication and understanding between parents, young people and key stakeholders of the local community. Through the project of planned activities, this informal group wants to contribute to reducing the number of violent behavior and conflicts between the generation of parents and young people.
This activity is part of the project "Community Based Approach to Support Youth in Targeted Municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina" implemented by the IOM, supported by USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Government of Great Britain and the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
