Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

"Parents for parents" project held in Bugojno
Smanjenje broja nasilnih ponašanja i konflikata između roditelja i mladih osoba, povećanje svijesti o važnosti uloge roditelja u odgoju djece, kao i o posljedicama primjene određenog modela odgoja na ličnost djeteta, te isticanje važnosti ispravne komunikacije sa djecom, ciljevi su projekta “Roditelji za roditelje”. Još jedna grupa roditelja iz Bugojna učestvovala je na jednoj od radionica u okviru ovog projekta. Radionica se održala u prostorijama Omladinskog centra Bugojno, a učesnicima je ponudila novo iskustvo u pogledu odgojnih stilova i komunikacije sa mladima.
Ova aktivnost je dio projekta "Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u Bosni i Hercegovini", kojeg sprovodi IOM, a finansijski podržavaju USAID, Vlada Velike Britanije i ambasada Republike Italije u BiH.

The reduction of violent behavior and conflicts between parents and young people, raising awareness about the importance of parents' role in raising a child, as well as raising awareness about the consequences of the use of specific parenting style on personality of a child, and emphasis on proper communication with children are the goals of project "Parents for parents". Another group of parents from Bugojno have participated in one of the workshops that are part of this project. This workshop was held in the premises of Youth Center Bugojno, offering participants new experience regarding parenting styles and communication with youth.
This activity is part of project "Community Based Approach to Support Youth in Targeted Municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina", implemented by IOM and supported by USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo and the Embassy of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
