Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

Organised workshop for parents from Prijedor
Roditelji iz Prijedora okupljeni u neformalnoj grupi "Forum za podršku mladima Prijedor“ održali su proteklog vikenda radionicu za roditelje iz nekoliko mjesnih zajednica iz Prijedora. Učesnici su slušali predavanja o naprednom roditeljstvu, te vještinama komunikacije koje im mogu pomoći u njihovom odnosu sa djecom. Na kraju su istakli svoje zadovoljstvo učešćem na radionici i naveli da će sve naučeno zasigurno koristiti i u budućnosti.
Spomenute aktivnosti dio su projekta "Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u Bosni i Hercegovini“ kojeg implementira IOM, a podržava Vlada Velike Britanije.

Parents from Prijedor gathered in an informal group called “Forum za podršku mladima Prijedor” (Youth Support Forum Prijedor) held a workshop for parents coming from several local communities from Prijedor during last weekend. Participants listened to lectures about advanced parenthood and communication skills which can help them in their relationship with children. At the end they emphasized their satisfaction participating in this workshop and said they are going to use things learned during this workshop in the future.
These activities are part of the project “Moving to sustainable approach in the prevention of violent extremism in the Western Balkans”, implemented by IOM and supported by the British Embassy Sarajevo.
