Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

Initiated pproject "Parents for better tomorrow"
Proteklog vikenda započeta je realizacija projekta iniciranog od strane neformalne grupe roditelja iz Gornjeg Rahića i Maoče pod nazivom „Roditelji za bolje sutra“. Ovaj projekat je nastavak projekta „Mali vrtić“ koji je implementiran početkom ove godine. Projekat je usmjeren prema djeci od 5 do 10 godina kao i grupi djece sa poteškoćama u razvoju. Realizovat će se nedjeljom u trajanju od 2 do 3 sata, i predviđeno je da traje naredna 3 mjeseca.
Ova aktivnost se realizira u sklopu projekta „Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u Bosni i Hercegovini“ kojeg implementira IOM uz podršku USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo i Ambasade Republike Italije u BiH.

The implementation of the project initiated by the informal group of parents from Donji Rahic and Maoca, called "Parents for better tomorrow", has started last weekend. It is a follow-up of the project called "Little Kindergarten" which was implemented at the beggining of year 2018. The project aimes to assist 5-10 years old children and the group of children with disabilities. It will be realized on Sundays in the duration of 2-3 hours and is planned to last for 3 months.
These are activities within the project "Community Based Approach to Support to Youth in Targeted Municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina" implemented by IOM, supported by USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Government of Great Britain and the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in BiH.
