Evropska unija donirala dva kombija Službi za poslove sa strancima

(Sarajevo, 20. august 2019. godine.) - Evropska unija je nedavno obezbijedila dodatnih 14,8 miliona eura bespovratnih sredstava za nastavak podrške Bosni i Hercegovini u oblasti migracija i upravljanja granicama u kontekstu povećanog broja migranata i izbjeglica prisutnih u zemlji od kraja 2017. godine.

To uključuje 13 miliona eura podrške za upravljanje migracijama - za koje je nedavno potpisan Sporazum o implementaciji sa Međunarodnom organizacijom za migracije (IOM) i 1,8 miliona eura humanitarne pomoći koju pruža Evropska komisija za humanitarnu pomoć i odjel za civilnu zaštitu (ECHO).

U okviru projekta, izvršena je nabavka dva nova kombija, ukupne vrijednosti više od 56.000 eura (110.400,00 KM) Službi za poslove sa strancima koja će službenicima uveliko olakšati rad na terenu, a što je do sada bio veliki izazov. Ova vozila će Službi pomoći u obavljanju redovnih aktivnosti.

Ključeve dva vozila je preuzeo direktor Službe za poslove sa strancima g. Slobodan Ujić, a uručio ih je g. Peter Van der Auweraert, Koordinator za Zapadni Balkan i Šef misije u Bosni i Hercegovini ispred Međunarodne organizacije za migracije (IOM).

Služba za poslove sa strancima će dodatno biti obogaćena sa IT opremom i softverom za unaprijeđenje upravljanja granicom i migracijskim tokovima u Bosni i Hercegovini, a ovu vrijednu opremu i softver će također obezbijediti Evropska unija.

“Zahvaljujemo se Evropskoj uniji na ovoj vrijednoj donaciji. Vozila će biti od velike pomoći našim službenicima koji imaju mnogo veći obim posla usljed prisustva migranata u državi”, rekao je g. Ujić.

Dosadašnja pomoć obezbijeđena sredstvima EU Službi za poslove sa strancima uključuje dva vozila kao i u jačanje kapaciteta kroz finansiranje dodatnih službenika u terenskim centrima i privremenim prihvatnim centrima.

Sredstva za projekat “EU podrška upravljanju migracijama i granicom u BiH” su obezbijeđena kroz posebnu mjeru Instrumenta za pretpristupnu pomoć (IPA). Projekat implementira IOM u partnerstvu s UNHCR-om, UNICEF-om, UNFPA-om i Danskim vijećem za izbjeglice (DRC-om).

EU donated two vans to Service for Foreigners’ affairs

(Sarajevo, 20^th August 2019) – The European Union has recently allocated additional €14.8 million in grants to continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in migration and border management in the context of the increased number of refugees and migrants present in the country since the end of 2017.

This includes €13 million of support to migration management - for which an implementation agreement has been signed recently with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and €1.8 million of humanitarian aid provided by the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO).

As part of the project, two new vans have been donated, with a total value of more than EUR 56,000 (KM 110,400.00) to the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs (SFA), which will support the work of SFA staff on field, which has been a challenge so far. These vehicles will support SFA’s regular activities on field.

The keys to the two vehicles were handed over to the Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Mr. Slobodan Ujic by Mr. Peter Van der Auweraert, Coordinator for the Western Balkans and Chief of Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs will be further enhanced with IT equipment and software to improve border management and migration flows in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this valuable equipment and software will also be provided by the European Union.

“We thank the European Union for this valuable donation. The vehicles will be a great support to our employees who have a much more work due to the presence of migrants in our country”, said Mr. Ujic.

The previous assistance to the SFA also enabled donation of two vehicles and financed the deployment of officials reinforcing the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs at field offices and temporary reception centres.  

The project “EU Support to Migration and Border Management in Bosnia and Herzegovina” is funded through an Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) special measure and is implemented by the IOM in partnership with UNHCR, UNICEF, UNFPA and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC).
