Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

Creative workshops organised for children in Daily Center "Šljokica" in Donja Ljubija (Prijedor)
Osmijeh na licima mališana najveća je nagrada za mlade volontere koji u mjesnoj zajednici Donja Ljubija kod Prijedora vode kreativne radionice za djecu u Dnevnom centru “Šljokica”. Dvadesetero djece dijeli sreću, zadovoljstvo i učešće u mnogim aktivnostima na radionicama koje se odvijaju dva puta sedmično. Ovo je pozitivno iskustvo i za mlade volontere koji rade sa djecom. Oni ističu da su stvorili veze sa djecom i da im njihova radost mnogo znači.
Djeca su tokom ovih radionica učestvovala u različitim aktivnostima, od stolnog tenisa do sađenja voćki, a na posljednjoj pripremali su se za novogodišnju priredbu što im predstavlja posebno zadovoljstvo.
Ova aktivnost, koju podržava USAID, Vlada Velike Britanije i ambasada Republike Italije u BiH, a implementira IOM BiH, se sprovodi u okviru projekta "Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u BiH".

Smile on the faces of the little ones is the biggest award for the young volunteers who are leading creative workshops for children in Daily Center "Šljokica" in Donja Ljubija (Prijedor). Twenty children share happiness, satisfaction and involvement in numerous activities in workshops held twice a week. This is positive experience for young volunteers who work with children, as well. They highlight that they have created bonds with children and that their joy means a lot to them.
During these workshop, children participated in different activities, from table tennis to planting the fruits, and in the last workshop they have prepared for the New Year's show, what represents special satisfaction.
This activity, supported by USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo and the Embassy of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, implemented by IOM Bosnia and Herzegovina, is carried out as part of project "Community Based Approach to Support Youth in Targeted Communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina".
