Community Dialogue was held in Maoča and Gornji Rahić

Last weekend another Community Dialogue was held. This time it was held in communities Maoča and Gornji Rahić. Youth gathered on this Dialogue talked about problems and disadvantages related to their community, but offered solutions and made decisions about the best way to approach those problems, as well. They agreed that one of the biggest problems is lack of educational content, sport and recreational activities. Besides that, the youth dealt with the unemployment of youth as one of the biggest problems they are facing, as well as their preoccupation with internet and virtual world. This problem could be at least partially solved if the youth were offered with quality content such as different activities which would in a quality and useful way fulfill their free time and provide them an opportunity to get to know and associate with each other.
After the end of the Dialogue the youth highlighted their satisfaction with the opportunity to participate in this activity and expressed their intention to work actively on solving the listed problems with the representatives of the local community.
Community dialogues organizes in local communities, that give the opportunity to young people to identify the biggest problems in their local communities, and to work on their solutions, are part of project "Community Based Approach to Support to Youth in Targeted Communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina" implemented by the IOM, supported by USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Government of Great Britain (British Embassy Sarajevo) and the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in BiH.
