Activities initiated by young students from Prijedor

A group of young students from Prijedor came to the idea of realizing an outdoor chess through the project, which the city until now didn't have. In the presence of many people, the Mayor of the city of Prijedor and the Dean of the Mining Faculty had the honor to withdraw the first move. This is important for the young because they have enriched social content in this way, but also it will affect the elderly in Prijedor as they will now have a place to spend their time and hang out with their friends. After the official opening, a chess tournament followed where young people measured their strengths. The winner of the tournament received a small chess award for the first place.
This activity is part of the project "Moving to sustainable approaches in the prevention of violent extremism in the Western Balkans” implemented by IOM and financially supported by the British Embassy Sarajevo.
