Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

President of the RS Government Cvijanovic accepted the courtesy visit of the newly appointed chief of IOM in BiH, Peter Van der Auweraert
President of the RS Government, Ms. Zeljka Cvijanovic accepted the courtesy visit of the newly appointed chief of International Organization for Migration /IOM/ in BiH, Mr. Peter Van der Auweraert.
During the meeting, various projects implemented by IOM and the RS Government in the RS were discussed.
On this occasion, the RS PM emphasized the successful cooperation that RS institutions are having with this UN agency, accompanied by good communication and the full respect for the constitutional authorities of the RS government in implementation of the joint projects.
Also, IOM expressed readiness to provide support to domestic institutions to deal with the challenges which are brought with the migrant influx in BiH.
