Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

Presentation of projects in Zavidovici
Two informal youth groups from Zavidovici presented projects "Sport Center" for the local community of Rujnica and "Arrangement of the Youth House" in the local community of Dolina – Alici to the Project Committee on May 8th. The Committee, consisting of Aldina Alicic (Embassy of Local Democracy), Aldin Šušić, Director of the Zavidovici Development Agency and Private Entrepreneur Alen Jusupovic, submitted their suggestions; final selection is scheduled for May 24! Dialogue was also attended by Peter Van Der Auweraert, IOM Chief of Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Western Balkans Sub/regional Coordinator, Kristina Tina Seslija, Grant Manager and Hasim Mujanovic, Mayor of Zavidovici. This activity is part of the "Community Based Approach to Support Youth in Targeted Municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina" project, implemented by IOM, supported by USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo and Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Neformalne grupe mladih iz Zavidovića komisiji su 8. maja predstavile projekte "Sportski centar" za mjesnu zajednicu Rujnica i "Uređenje Doma mladih" u mjesnoj zajednici Dolina – Alići. Komisija koji su sačinjavali Aldina Aličić iz Ambasade lokalne demokratije, Aldin Šušić, direktor Razvojne agencije Zavidovići i privatni preduzetnik Alen Jusupović iznijeli su svoje sugestije te izvršili predselekciju ideja; finalna selekcija zakazana je za 24. maj! Dijalog su svojim prisustvom uveličali i Peter Van der Auweraert, šef misije Međunarodne organizacije za migracije u BiH i subregionalni koordinator IOM-a za Zapadni Balkan, Kristina Šešlija, grant menadžerica i Hašim Mujanović, načelnik Zavidovića. Ova aktivnost dio je projekta "Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u Bosni i Hercegovini" koji sprovodi IOM, a podržavaju USAID BiH, Vlada Velike Britanije i Ambasada Republike Italije u BiH.
