Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

Launch of "Little kindergarten" presented to the residents of local communities Gornji Rahic and Maoca and to the selected commission
Launch of "Little kindergarten" – workshop for pupils and children of preschool age, the first activity within the project "Community Based Approach to Support Youth in Targeted Municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina" was presented to the residents of local communities Gornji Rahic and Maoca and to the selected commission. The purpose of this playground, whose establishment was proposed by youth, is the socialization of children, familiarization with various social and traditional games that should contribute to the separation of children from extensive use mobile phones, computers, television. The playground should start working in late November, and support in it's work was given by the president of the local community, the local imam and the locals.These activities, implemented by IOM, are supported by the USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo and the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Pokretanje "Malog vrtića" – igraonice za učenike i djecu predškolskog uzrasta, prva aktivnost u sklopu projekta "Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u Bosni i Hercegovini" prezentovana je žiteljima mjesnih zajednica Gornji Rahič i Maoča i odabranoj komisiji. Cilj ove igraonice, čije osnivanje su predložili mladi, je socijalizacija djece, upoznavanje s raznim društvenim i tradicionalnim igrama što bi trebalo da doprinese odvajanju djece od mobitela, računara, televizije... Igraonica bi trebalo da počne s radom krajem novembra, a podršku u njenom radu dali su predsjednik mjesne zajednice, lokalni imam i mještani. Ove aktivnosti sprovodi IOM, a finansiraju USAID BiH te ambasade Velike Britanije u BiH i Republike Italije u BiH.
