Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

IOM BIH COVID-19 RESPONSE
The new coronavirus disease, officially named COVID-19, has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. As the virus continues to spread extensively, it is posing a significant challenge to many organisations.
This fact sheet provides an overview of the activities conducted by IOM Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina during March and April 2020, supporting a large number of beneficiaries including domestic population as well as migrants.
Activities were realised through various projects supported by the European Union, USAID, and the governments of the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands.
