Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

The first module of the "Strengthening Parental Skills" workshop held in Zvornik
The first module of the "Strengthening Parental Skills" workshop in Zvornik (May 18th and 19th) gathered parents of different professions, and they had the opportunity to socialize, educate, exchange experiences... The goal of the workshop is to strengthen the local community through education and encouraging workshop participants to transfer the acquired knowledge to other parents in the community. This activity is part of the project "Community Based Approach to Support Youth in Targeted Municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina", implemented by IOM, and supported by USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo and the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Prvi modul radionice "Jačanje roditeljskih vještina" u Zvorniku (18. i 19. maja) okupio je roditelje različitih profesija, a oni su imali priliku da se druže, edukuju, razmjenjuju iskustva... Cilj radionice je da kroz edukaciju osnaži lokalnu zajednicu i to tako što će učesnici radionice usvojena znanja prenositi na druge roditelje u zajednici. Ova aktivnost je dio projekta "Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u Bosni i Hercegovini" koju sprovodi IOM, a podržavaju USAID BiH, Vlada Velike Britanije, i Ambasada Republike Italije u Bosni i Hercegovini.
