Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

The first meeting with representatives from the Education authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina
How can teachers and schools contribute to the prevention of violent extremism?
Today IOM is organizing the first meeting with representatives from the Education authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina together and colleagues from the City of Helsinki, Finland, discussing how innovative approaches to learning and critical thinking can be introduced in schools.
The meeting is organized within the project Support to Youth in Local Communities, supported by USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo and Embassy of Republic of Italy.

Na koji način prosvjetni radnici i škole mogu doprinijeti prevenciji nasilnog ekstremizma?
U toku je prvi sastanak predstavnika prosvjetnog sistema u Bosni i Heregovini i predstavnika grada Helsinkija iz Finske, diskutirajući na koji način inovativni pristupi podučavanja o kritičkom razmišljanju mogu biti predstavljeni u školama.
Sastanak je organiziran od strane IOM misije u BiH u sklopu projekta "Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u BiH", a podržan od strane USAID BiH, Vlade Velike Britanije i Ambasade Republike Italije u BiH.
