Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), IOM aims to prevent irregular migration, stop the trafficking of human beings, contribute to national development, and assist the BH Government to manage migration activities.

The first Community Dialogue was held in Sokolje, Sarajevo
First Community Dialogue was held in Sokolje, Sarajevo. The youth had the opportunity to talk about problems they are facing, and propose solutions. In the following period, they will actively work on the implementation of several ideas – organizing creative workshops an educational activities for youth, arranging the existing school space for extended student stays, and classrooms in nature as well ass the use of available land for the production of seedlings and starting business. These activities implemented by IOM are supported by the USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Embassy Sarajevo, and the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Prvi “Dijalog s mladima” održan je u sarajevskoj mjesnoj zajednici Sokolje, a mladi su na prvom druženju imali priliku da razgovaraju o stanju u zajednici i problemima s kojima se susreću, te predlože moguća rješenja. Oni će, u narednom periodu, aktivno raditi na realizaciji nekoliko ideja – organizovanju kreativnih radionica i edukativnih sadržaja za mlade, uređenju postojećeg školskog prostora za produženi boravak učenika te učionice u prirodi kao i korištenju raspoloživog zemljišta za proizvodnju sadnica i pokretanju biznisa. Riječ je o aktivnostima u sklopu prijekta “Podrška mladima u lokalnim zajednicama u Bosni i Hercegovini” koji sprovodi IOM, a podržavaju USAID BiH, Vlada Velike Britanije i Ambasada Republike Italije u Bosni i Hercegovini.
