VACCINATED 58 PEOPLE ON THE MOVE IN RECEPTION CENTRE UŠIVAK

The first session of COVID-19 vaccination in which a total of 58 people on the move received the first dose of the vaccine, at the temporary reception center Ušivak in the area of the Canton Sarajevo, has been successfully completed. This process was preceded by educational workshops on the importance and process of the immunization, as well as the survey among beneficiaries. The Public Health Institute of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina allocated Astra Zeneca vaccine, while the International Organization for Migration - IOM and the Danish Refugee Council, within the project supported by European Union, enabled vaccine application services, as well as the doctors who have followed the conditions of people on the move after vaccination.

"I am very happy to have received the first dose of Astra Zeneca vaccine because I feel much safer now. After revaccination, I will be completely safe and happy," said the girl from Iran.

The Service for Foreigner’s Affairs, the Federal Ministry of Health, the Institute of Public Health of FBiH, the International Organization for Migration - IOM and the Danish Refugee Council, have consistently advocated for immunization of people on the move, and have actively supported the immunization of the first group of people on the move in the Canton Sarajevo area. The immunization will be carried out in temporary reception center Blažuj, in following days, while a total of 157 people at the temporary reception centers Borići in Bihać, Miral in Velika Kladuša and reception center Lipa in the area of the Una-Sana Canton, have been successfully vaccinated last month.
